June 1, 2009-iHearSafe Issues Voluntary Recall Of Products Due to Potential Lead Hazard.

Recall will run from June 15, 2009 through December 31, 2009. 

 

 

Milford, NH. – iHearSafe today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer products. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately and await instructions from iHearSafe.

Name of products: Safe Volume™ Headphones, EarClips, and EarBuds

Units: 2,700

Manufacturer: iHearSafe

Hazard: Potential Lead Hazard

Incidents/Injuries: iHearSafe has no knowledge of any injuries or health concerns at this time

Description: iHearSafe Headphones, EarClips, and EarBuds limit headphone volume to 85 decibels.

Sold at: www.iHearSafe.com, www.familysafemedia.com, www.x-tremegeek.com, (and catalog), and The Store at Komando.com (www.store.komando.com)

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the headphones, earbuds, and earclips immediately and await a letter from iHearSafe that will include instructions on returning the product(s). iHearSafe will issue customers a full refund of the original purchase price and shipping charges. We regret that replacement units will not be an option.

iHearSafe has issued a voluntary recall of its entire product line.  It is important to know that this is only a precautionary recall and there have been no reported accidents or cases of injury from use of our products.


We would kindly ask that you discontinue all use of iHearSafe products at this time and await further instruction from the iHearSafe team.  Within the next few weeks, you will receive a package  including a letter and a pre-paid return box  that you will be able to use to send your iHearSafe product back to us.  Upon receipt of the returned product, iHearSafe will issue you a full refund of your original purchase price, including shipping charges.  The refund will be issued  in the form of a check, which will be mailed to your billing address on file. If the billing address on file is not the correct one, please notify us as to where we should mail your refund check. You can do so via email at support@ihearsafe.com. Unfortunately, we are not able to issue replacement products in the place of refund checks.
